Through the western gate, rogue Black Ops invade Babylon. To get a better perspective of the region as you turn towards the southern Ruin, use the Palace steps. Alternatively, you may slip inside the Chapel to have a lower profile with sight lines along the northern Pillars and the Gate. Operators are challenged to battle for the center of the Altar, which is located just ahead, much as the opposing spawn.

The Altar is a hotly disputed place of interest in dead centre, with access points on each of the four walls. Not much is covered within or above, except from the altar itself. But there are plenty of options for Operators to enter and exit the area via the archways. In order to choose the best path through or to be ready for an impending assault, consult your minimap when you move here.

Because of the uneven terrain and huge cover elements that make ambushes more likely, the southern Ruin presents difficulties for operators. Run around the dilapidated buildings or ascend for a strong but uncovered vantage point. Use it and keep an eye out for opponents approaching from the corner vantage point with the yellow tarp, which offers the finest view of the region.

A few sizable climbable cover items are strewn throughout the eastern route, but the truck spawn is situated on open land. To get a covered view down the sides and towards Altar, get inside the truck’s bed. Depot offers essential overhead protection and a more covert approach, while some dispersed supplies to the north give other cover locations.

Alley Ambush — Alpha (A)
Be careful where you tread in the southwest alley, close to the arches. Two tiny sections under the Palace are accessible from these ideal ambush sites, however they need crouching to get through. Remain in the vicinity to accomplish a few eliminations, and then go along the Alley or ascend through the roof to reach the Palace. Throwing a grenade at an adversary inside will have the most impact since it will explode in the cramped area.

The Chapel and Altar may be partially seen from the two platforms along Pillars, which provide amazing views of the whole north end of the map. Protect the area from either platform, depending on where the enemy is more concentrated, and use their fallen barriers as cover. Since both locations are susceptible to airborne assaults, it is worthwhile to carry a launcher in order to retaliate.

There are two noteworthy elevated viewing lines in the Chapel. For a clear view across Gate and up to the Palace, climb up on the white crate in the south-facing window. For a clear view down Pillars, lie prone on the east-facing wooden crate. This is an excellent counter-snipe position against adversaries down the northern path.
