The Turbine is a buildable utility that can be used to power things around the map like perk machines, open some doors, power some traps, and also power the Subsurface Resonator. The parts needed are a Mannequin that can be found on the floor of the general store, the Fan that can be found in the back room on a desk and the last part is a Tail that is found on a set of shelves inside the general store.
The Trample Steam is a buildable device that flings zombies to their death, it can also down players but can be used as a way to get around the map. It will need four parts to build it, Chicken Wire, a Motor, Bellows, and a flag. The parts can be found scattered around the map.
The Subsurface Resonator is a buildable device that shoots sound blasts at zombies and drops the back or kills them. It can be built by finding four parts that are all located in and around the general store, Find the Table, Mount, Speaker and a motor.
The Head Chopper is a buildable trap that kills or hurts zombies and players that walk in its range, the blade comes down on the zombie or players and resets itself after. It can be built by finding a Mount, Crank, Hinge, and a Saw around the general store area.

If the player goes through the back of the mansion to leave the maze, a Ghost can be seen playing the piano. Tipping the Ghost 10 points will give the player a perk.
The Musical Easter Egg is Always Running by Malukah, can be activated by finding three teddy bears around the map. The first one is sitting near the hay at the entrance to the mines, another is inside a candy jar in the candy store and the last one is inside the mansion near Double Tap Root Beer.
Mined Games is the main Easter Egg on Buried and requires players to follow Richtofen’s Path or Maxis’ Path. Each path will unlock the achievement/trophy.
Richtofen’s Path
Step 1: Choosing the path is decided at this point, Build the Guillotine to follow Richtofen. To build the Guillotine four parts will be required, the Satellite Dish is near the fence upstairs of the saloon, Spool of Wire is located downstairs of the Gunsmith room, Crystal is found on the other side of the hole in the debris after going up the railing from the saloon and lastly, the Antennae is found inside one of the stables downstairs of the barn.
Step 2: Players will need to power up the four red Orbs using the Paralyzer Wonder Weapon found in the Mystery Box, each Orbs is scattered around the map with the first one located in the alley between the candy shop and saloon, another behind a rock at the front of the church, one in the tunnels above the town and the last one out front of the mansion on the maze side.
Step 3: The purple lantern in the air needs to be knocked down by timing a grenade just right throwing it at it, after this, it will flout to the church or the jail cell and require the player to pick it up. The lantern will need to be powered up by killing 10 mistresses in the haunted mansion, place the fully powered lantern on the symbol found on the roof of the gunsmith shop.
Step 4: Code will appear above the symbol that the players will need to solve to find out what signs in the tunnels need to be hit with a Bowie Knife or Galvaknuckles, the signs are randomly selected out of the five available. Each is 17 characters long if the player counts the spaces as a character. The players need to only decode the first letter of each sign as all five are different. The step will be complete when the Wisp appears.
Step 5: To move the wisp a player must have Vulture Aid and pass through it in a 15 seconds limit, or else they will fade away and the player will need to hit the signs again. Vultures Aid will allow the players to see through walls to help wind each spawn location of the Wisp, the players will need to run through each one to move them, first one at the final sign, the second one will be on the second level of the general store, third in the candy store then it goes to the guillotine, where it will stay in front of the guillotine. The player must lure zombies nearby the guillotine. Doing so will cause the orb to flow into the zombie, which the player must kill for its energy. After killing each zombie, an orb will revolve around the crystal component of the guillotine. After powering up the guillotine, Richtofen tells the player that they need a time bomb.
Step 6: Set a Time Bomb on the Guillotine bench and have all four players stand around the guillotine and active the Time bomb, this will send the players into the future where they will need to search for a switch found on one of the dead bodies of Misty, Marlton, Samuel or Russman. Players will need to set the switch on the Guillotine. After 90 seconds the players will automatically go back to the current time.
Step 7: Inside the maze, the players can find four switches colored green, red, blue and yellow, these switches will need to be activated in random order and can only be done by trial and error. The switches will all start to spark after being activated in the correct order.
Step 8: The players will need to get The Giant (Arthur) to smash the fountain located at the front of the mansion to make the water start spewing out of it, next the player will need to interact with the fountain to “Make a Wish” causing many metal target to spawn around the map. Each player will need to shoot them all to cause them to disappear, the first one is located in front of the courthouse, in the windows next to the mansion, inside the saloon and lastly by the jail cell.
END: Richtofen’s Mined games are now complete and all players will get all perks and unlock the achievement/trophy.
Maxis’ Path
Step 1: Choosing the path is decided at this point, Build the Gallows to follow Maxis. To build the Gallows four parts will be required, the Battery can be found behind the church, Spool of Wire is located in the Mule Kick room, Antennae inside one of the stables downstairs of the barn and lastly the bulbs are in the room above the Giants Cell.
Step 2: Players will need to destroy the four red orbs around the map using the Subsurface Resonator and the Turbine to power it. The first on can be found in the alley between the saloon and the candy shop, the second is behind a rock at the front of the mansion, third is in the tunnels above the town and the last one to the left side in the foliage before the entrance of the mansion on the maze side.
Step 3: The purple lantern in the air needs to be knocked down by timing a grenade just right and throwing it at it, after this, it will flout to the church or the jail cell and require the player to pick it up.
Step 4: Players must feed the Giant (Arthur) candy to get him to start killing zombies, the player with the lantern will need to stay close to Arthur to catch the zombies souls, after the lantern is full it should be placed on the symbol found on the roof of the gunsmith shop.
Step 5: Code will appear above the symbol that the players will need to solve to find out what signs in the tunnels need to be hit with a Bowie Knife or Galvaknuckles, the signs are randomly selected out of the five available. Each is 17 characters long if the player counts the spaces as a character. The players need to only decode the first letter of each sign as all five are different. The step will be complete when the Wisp appears.
Step 6: Place a Time Bomb and have Arthur clear the barrier between the general store and the candy shop if not already done, active the Wisp, and follow it to the Gallows, zombies must be on the map to have the Wisp travel to the final destination. If needed, hit the time bomb and repeat the steps.
Step 7: The players will now need to active bells that are scattered around the map in a particular order. In the room just past the secret bookcase in the haunted mansion, there is a switchboard on a sofa with a lever. The switchboard has a 3×3 pattern of lights, which when activated will light up yellow or green telling the players what bell to ring and in what order. One player should stay with the switchboard as the other three should go to the bell locations, one set of bells are on the bottom floor of the courthouse, another set on the second floor of the candy shop and the lest set of three bells are on the top level of the barn.
END: Maxis’s Mined games are now complete and all players will get all perks and unlock the achievement/trophy.
ENDGAME: If all four players have completed all three Easter Eggs on Richtofen’s or Maxis’s side, have a player shoot the ‘Easter Egg Tracker’ and press the revealed button. The screen will shake, and the players will hear a short confrontation between Richtofen and Maxis.
If the players did all of the Richtofen’s Side they will get a special Mule Kick that allows the player to carry four weapons instead of three and grant the players with a permanent fire sale.
If the players did all of the Maxis’ Side, Maxis will send Richtofens soul into a zombie and all zombies on the map will change to orange eyes and the zombies with blue eyes are Richtofen and will drop Power-Ups every time they are killed.
