Gauntlet

Nothing but desert, blue skies, and blowing sand on the outside of this Gauntlet training course with military trucks and equipment just to the outskirts.

Reaper, real name is Experimental War Robot-115.
Weapon: Scythe, Reaper’s armor peels away to reveal an arm-mounted minigun.
Special Ability: Psychosis, creating multiple copies of the deadly machine into the enemy’s minds.

Prophet, his real name is David Wilkes.
Weapon: Tempest, a charge-shot rifle discharges arcs of electricity that shock targets and disrupts their nervous systems before chaining to other nearby enemies.
Special Ability: Glitch, Prophet’s affinity of electronics allows him to hack the battle simulation, returning him to an earlier point in time.

Seraph, her real name is He Zhen-Zhen.
Weapon: Annihilator, designed specifically for Seraph, firing this high-caliber pistol’s depleted uranium rounds would break the arm of a non-augmented soldier.
Special Ability: Combat Focus, drawing on her martial training, Seraph’s obvious strategic mastery of the battlefield qualifies her for increased tactical support.

Ruin is a fan favorite; his real name is Donnie Walsh.
Weapon: Gravity Spikes, twin charges drive deep into the ground, sending out a powerful expanding seismic shockwave that destroys everything in range.
Special Ability: Overdrive, high-power graphene super-capacitors in Ruin’s legs discharge, allowing him to overrun his enemies using short bursts of incredible speed.

Nomad, his real name is Tavo Rojas.
Weapon: Hive, deploying traps which release swarms of deadly nano-drones then tripped, rapidly stripping the flesh from victims’ bones.
Special Ability: Rejack, on death, an injection floods Nomads body with a nanite serum capable of rapidly reconstructing damaged tissue and organs allowing him to stand back up.

Spectre, real name is Unknown.
Weapon: Ripper, deploys mono-edged twin blades before gracefully dissecting victims with lethal surgical precision.
Special Ability: Active Camo, advanced meta-materials rapidly change their properties, guiding photons over their surfaces instead of reflecting them, rendering Spectre temporarily invisible.

Outrider, her real name is Alessandra ‘Les’ Castillo.
Weapon: Sparrow, this advanced composite compound bow unleashes devastating explosive arrows that decimate hostile forces.
Special Ability: Vision Pulse, pulses of cover-penetrating sub-millimeter wavelength radiation reveal the location of Outrider’s foes.

Firebreak, his real name is Krystof Hejek.
Weapon: Purifier, a flamethrower that projects a steady stream of heat, incinerating anyone or anything unfortunate enough to be engulfed by it.
Special Ability: Heat Wave, rapid-cycling heat sink dumps a stored thermal charge which stuns enemies near the user.

Battery, her real name is Erin Baker.
Weapon: War Machine, a grenade launcher that fires time-fused bouncing frag grenades which explode on contact with an enemy.
Special Ability: Charged electrically-reactive armor that deflects enemy bullets on contact.

An empty display with a name scratched out turns out to be Danny Li but we call him Blackjack.
He can be active for 1 hour by completing a special Mercenary Contract.
Weapon: Rogue, gain currency for every enemy that he kills, this earns him access to all of the otherwise exclusive Specialist weapons.
Special Ability: Gambler, access to all Specialist Abilities. By overvolting his power systems, he can gain Abilities at an accelerated rate.
