Prepare for frantic action as the classic small map Shipment returns as a deadly game show arena. – Showtime
Surrounding Showtime is hundreds of spectators waiting for the battle to begin, big spotlights, and a big screen that reads “Please Stand By” until a player activates one of the Field Orders as it will show what the player unlocked.
Slot Machine is the Field Order and it grants a lot of different things to the players like dropping “Six Care Packages” and playing the first notes of the U.S. National Anthem playing, “Sentry Gun Turrets” that appear from behind the walls and shooting down enemies, a “Deadly Gas” that fills the outer boundary of the map making it unusable and a good way to push out campers, a “Jackpot” and “Technical Difficulties” That gives all of the three previous rewards and lastly the “K.E.M. Strike” that kill all enemy players on the map. All rewards can be obtained multiple times.
In the broadcasting room of Showtime a teleprompter reads: “ Paul: Welcome sports fans to the spectacular Hudson Stadium for what is sure to be another thrilling matchup. I’m Paul Nelson and with me today is my partner in crime Steve O’Learey.
Steve: (laugh) Thanks Paul, it sure is good to be a hum dinger of a match today, especially after the fireworks of last week.
Paul: You’re right Steve, we’ve not had such a nail biter in quite some time.
Steve: and remember that dance at the end of match on the winner’s podium, that was something else (chuckle). So what do the contestants look like this week Paul?
Paul: Everyone looks pretty mean this week, they’re hungry and they’re out to win. Both the Ghosts and Feds look like they have something to prove. I think the fans are in for helluva show! Safe and sound behind our patented triple walled Ape safety glass.
Steve: I’m sure they’re all charged up with our flagship energy drink, ready for today’s onslaught. Let’s just take a second to call out to our sponsors with today’s match brought to you by Nadeade – It’s Good – Drink It.
Paul: That drink really is something else isn’t it. I think the competitors guzzle the stuff down by the gallon before the match, it really is that good.
Steve: You betcha Paul. I wanted to advise our viewers that we had been experiencing technical glitches earlier today; the guys in the control tower have been busy making sure we have a tight broadcast. We know you aren’t going to want to miss a second and we’re going to be here with you right until the bloody end.
Paul: Looks like the contestants are about ready to enter the area, we’ll cut to our commercial break before the action starts up and will be back non-stop when we return.
SHUFFLE PAPERS – LOOK BUSY AND FRIENDLY, ENGAGE IN SMALL TALK UNTIL WE SAY CUT.
DO NOT START BICKERING LIKE LAST WEEK!”
You can also hear the announcer during the match as certain things happen like double kills saying: “Things are starting to heat up.”, “Looks like there is a sale, because this guy just got a two for one.”, “That’s gotta hurt, if he wasn’t dead already.”, “Watch out behind you. Oh, too late.” And much more
30 seconds after the match starts the steel doors around the outside of the map open to give more running routes, this is also announced by the announcer “It looks like we’re experiencing some technical difficulties”, using these routes to flank can be very handy as the center of this very small map is usually a hectic gunfight.
Behind the big doors in a small garage on Showtime is a calendar hanging on the wall with a juggernaut on a sunny beach holding a light machine gun “SUMMER JUGGERNAUT”. This area of the map is not a part of the original Shipment map.
A battle plan from the Blue team can be seen on the side of the wall, planning out a route to take the win, the plan looks like it would work in a multiplayer match for sure. Poster around the map can be seen advertising the two teams: Blue team “GOT THE BLUES?” Red team “KNOCK ‘EM RED”
A poster of the multiplayer map Retreat from Advanced Warfare can be found in a small office. The poster says: “Guilin Bai Lan Resort”, the beauty of the orient reimagined. We invite you to come and unlock the mysteries of the Guilin Bai Lan. Have tea in the lush Chinese gardens. Lay back and indulge in our panoramic sunroom with the Guilin mountains as a backdrop. Take a dip in our infinity pool overlooking the Lan River. Our gold standard resort will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
