Artifact

Steaming hot water with some erupting hot springs are seen outside Artifact along with many mountains, an avalanche is seen crashed on the map from the mountain just to the outskirts. An oil pipeline is seen overhead that stretches to the far distance outside both sides of the map.

At the start of the match, you will see an attack chopper circling overhead and attacking the pipeline just as the timer hits zero, it then flies off into the distance over the mountain.

A ladder can be used to get on top of the fallen avalanche, at the top of the ladder you will see an Icey slide that will take you to the other side of the snow cave. This is a good way to flank the tunnels but be careful no one is watching the slide.

The boiling hot springs (geysers) can erupt and kill players that are walking through it, be careful of your path to combat.

The Odin Altar statue can be seen getting carved out of the ice, the tent in the center of the map shows blueprints of the statue with the Museum of Unnatural History logo on it. The statue was to be on display in the museum the is found on the map Remnant.

Inside the large tent, you can see a bottle of Metro Brewery Beer, the same beer seen in past Black Ops games. “The simple taste of Metro brew is not unlike a subtle shrew. In the mourn or in the night, this beautiful taste makes angels cry. As you unbind the cap a chorus sings to the glory the pigeon king.”

Above the map you can see many Atlantic Puffins playing in the snow, they can all be killed leaving blood splatter in the snow. It’s a good way to practice your snipping!
