Power-Ups on Blood of The Dead include Insta-Kill: Allows all players to insta-kill all normal zombies, Max Ammo: Refills the ammo reserve of all held weapons for every player, Double Points: Players receive double the number of points for the duration of 30-seconds, Nuke: kills all zombies that have spawned onto the map, Bonus Points: Gives all players 500 extra points, Carpenter: Repairs all barricades around the map and refills the players shield, Fire Sale: Causes all box locations to be active and changes the cost to 10 points, Full Power: Gives the player that picked it up a refill on the specialist weapon meter, Zombie Blood: Turn the player that picked it up invisible from zombies for 30-seconds.
Wall Weapons include the Titan, Auger DMR, Vapr XKG, ICR-7, M1927, KN-57, Maddox RFB, M1897 Trebuchet, GKS, MX9, Mozu, Swordfish, Spitfire, MOG 12, Saug 9mm, RK 7 Garrison, and the Essex Model 07.
Mystery Box Weapons are the main method to getting your firepower on Blood of The Dead, grab a Ray Gun, Blundergat, Monkey Bomb, or even the Ray Gun Mark ll. The other weapons in the box include the ICR-7, Maddox RFB, KN-57, Hitchcock M9, Rampart 17, Vapr-XKG, Grav, Swat RFT, Peacekeeper, AN-94, Echohawk Dual Bore, Escargot, MX9, Spitfire, Saug 9mm, GKS, Cordite, MP-40, Daemon 3XB, Switchblade X9, CMP, MicroMG 9mm, Swordfish, Essex Model 07, ABR 223, Auger DMR, S6 Stingray, M16, Titan, Hades, VKM 750, Zweihander, Tigershark, SDM, Paladin HB50, Koshka, Outlaw, Vendetta, Locus, Havelina AA50, Mozu, RK 7 Garrison, KAP 45, SG12, MOG 12, M1897 Trebuchet, Rampage, Argus, Hellion Salvo, Ballistic Knife, and the Reaver C86.
Two main Power switches need to be powered on around Blood of The Dead to use the utilities and machines. The first power switch is located in the Powerhouse near the entryway, and the second power switch is in Building 64.
To power up the Pack-A-Punch Machine on the prison’s roof and upgrade your weapons. Players will need to have the Spectral Shield, have the power turned on. Then need to use the Spectral Shield’s secondary ability to kill and absorb zombie essence to charge the Shield’s key. After the shield has been charged, go to the Pack-A-Punch machine, and shoot the gauge to make the machine fully charged.
The Gondola on Blood of The Dead is a tram utility that allows players to travel from the port of Alcatraz to the roof of the prison.
Brutus or The Warden is the main boss of this map. He will spawn in the first round and then during regular rounds. The Warden will become aggressive if players shoot his Hellhounds or him. Furthermore, he will typically appear disabling the power and also when all the powers been restored. By killing Brutus, he will drop the Warden’s key.
The Blundergat Wonder Weapon allows players to shoot lava that sticks to surfaces and zombies. You can obtain the Blundergat from the Mystery box or complete a small easter egg quest. The quest involves players finding five Spectral Skulls with the Spectral Shield and the Hell’s Retriever to locate the invisible skulls in areas outside the map. Players can throw the Retriever to these skulls to retrieve them. The locations of these skulls are in; a cell within the C-D street, perched on a pole in the dock waters, placed in front of a door in West Grounds, next to the Pack-A-Punch machine, and sitting on the telephone pole in the Eagle Plaza area. You will then be able to retrieve the Blundergat on the desk of the Warden’s office.
The Blundergat can be upgraded to the Acidgat using the Acid Gat Kit. The weapon allows the projectile lava to explode on impact. You can build the kit with the Case, Acid Bottle, and Motor parts. They are in the Transverse tunnel, in the infirmary, and a room in the Sally Port respectively. You will need the Warden’s key to access the last two locations.
Players can build the upgradable Spectral Shield at various workbenches found around the Blood of The Dead. You will need to find three parts. The Spectral Essence part can spawn either outside the Warden’s office, next to the staircase by the shower room, or in the library placed next to the afterlife switch. The second Metal Door part can be located in the Citadel Tunnels near a doorway or by a zombie barricade in the China Alley area. The Warden’s Key is dropped after defeating the Warden.
The Spectral Shield also comes with the ability to Spirit Blast by charging the shield with Zombie souls with the key. You can also use the afterlife vision mode.
Players can obtain the Hell’s Retriever Wonder Weapon by completing a small quest. The quest involves players feeding zombies to three Cerberus heads located at the; New Industries area, second cell block level, and in the Eagle Plaza. With the power turned on, you will need to fast travel and pick up the Hell’s Retriever in the lava when traveling from the Warden’s House to the Showers. By upgrading the Hell’s Retriever, it becomes The Redeemer. Players can throw the axe, kill multiple zombies at once, and fetch items and then return to your player.
Players can obtain the powerful Golden Spork wonder weapon that kills zombies with one hit. To obtain the Golden Spork on Blood of The Dead, you will need to have the power on, be on normal or higher game difficulty, have the Spectral Shield, the Hell’s Retriever and have either Acid Gat or Magma.
Step 1: You will need to use the Spectral Shields ability to see three pillars in the Warden’s office to see three numbers. Input these numbers in order after zapping the Voltmeters at the bottom of the Citadel Tunnels with the shield’s ability to make the lift drop and then zap the tubes one more time.
Step 2: Activate a voltmeter at the docks that are next to the Mystery box spawn location. A crane should then fish out a skeleton. Throw the Hells Retriever at the skeleton to pick up the spoon from his arm. A Mule perk machine will be fished out if you failed a step.
Step 3: Go to the Infirmary and place the spoon in the bathtub. Use the Acidgat or Magmagat weapon to get kills on the roof to fill the tub with blood. Then drain the full bathtub.
Step 4: Go to the catwalk area and shoot the cardboard on the water tower’s legs outside the map to make the tower collapse. Use the Hells Retriever to fetch the Golden Spork at the base of the water tower.
To play the Where Are We Going Musical Easter Egg. You will need to build the Spectral Shield and zap the number pad in the Citadel Tunnels to enter code 115 by using the Spectral Shield’s ability.
If players scope into the house’s small window in the distance in the Recreation yard area, they will experience the Jumpscare of the scary Shadowman appearing on your screen.
Most Escape Alive is the Main Easter Egg on Blood of the Dead. Players will need to have the Hell’s Retriever ready to complete the following steps.
Step 1: Turn on the power in the West Block, Build and equip the Spectral Shield, Go to the roof of Alcatraz, and release the spirits of the Pack-A-Punch machine by zapping the voltmeter with the Spirit Blast ability of the Spectral Shield.
Step 2: Obtain and use the Golden Spork to melee the scratched walls of the Warden’s house in front of the barrier upstairs. Wait until round 17, then input the code 666 on the number pad.
Step 3: Carefully escort the spawned Brutus to the wall so he can EMP slam the wall by throwing a cymbal monkey at the wall, Enter the broken wall into the warden’s ritual room and Interact with the red stone on the table and the clothed body.
Step 4: Interact with the map in Richtofen’s Laboratory to make the red stone appear on the map then Interact with the glowing blue book in the corner of the Laboratory. After a seagull steals the book and the birds escape the room, go around the map and listen for the bird using spectral vision. Spirit blast the bird two times, once per round.
Step 5: Find the bird a fourth time without Spectral vision. You will be able to hear it crying when you are directly looking at it next to the keypad near the spiral staircase. Enter code 872 into the keypad.
Step 6: Collect the spawned zombie blood, then throw the Hell’s Retriever at the bird to receive Kronorium. Now Interact with the Warden’s body to place the Kronorium in his lap. Wait until all pages to be flipped through and use the Spectral vision to look at the book’s numbers.
Step 7: Enter these numbers into the keypad, and the light tower will beam a light on one of five locations. Use the shield blast on the beam at the location and enter the spawned portal to complete the quest at the beamed location.
Step 8: When completing the challenge at The Docks, players will need to solve Sally Port’s morse code. By entering ten characters. If you enter the wrong order, you will hear laughing from the Warden. If you are successful, you will need to kill a zombie at the Infirmary.
Step 9: Feed the spawned Ghost with zombie souls, then take the Ghost following you to the docks at the spirit blasted beam and collect the red orb after the ghost vanishes.
Step 10: The Showers challenge will need you to find a banjo-playing ghost and interact with the ghost to be handed the banjo and then go the blue circle on the ground. Kill zombies whilst standing in the circle and once you hear an audio cue, give the banjo back to the zombie to receive another red orb.
Step 11: The New Industries challenge requires players to kill a zombie in the D-Block and spirit blast the spawned ghost repeatedly until its essence is gone, then shield blast it when it becomes invisible. Repeat this five times to absorb the ghost. The ghost should turn a reddish color. Then you will need to kill it with the chain trap and get another ghost to kill it to collect the dropped red orb.
Step 12: The Powerhouse challenge requires players to interact with the sparkling generator in building 64 to play a game of Simon says. Interact with the panels and flashing lights by copying the pattern; they are lit up until five panels light up. Take note of the three lit panels’ symbols and collect a punch card and insert it in the computer in the spawning area to receive three symbols.
Step 13: Go to The Powerhouse and look at the symbols with spectral vision under the levers. Spirit Blast the ghost when the ghost is under the levers, with the symbols to make the ghost pull the lever. Pick up the red orb once all levers are done in order.
Step 14: The Michigan Avenue challenge requires players to kill a zombie in the Cafeteria and then spirit blast the spawned ghost to make it visible. Bring and defend the ghost to the beam in Michigan Avenue to receive a red orb. Now place all the red orbs on the map back in Richtofen’s laboratory.
Step 15: Interact with the Warden’s body to make electric beams form and enter your body. Then Pick up the Summoning Key and watch the cutscene. After, go to Richtofen’s Laboratory, go up the stairs past a new door to hear a warning, and then enter. Stand in the red areas whilst shooting spawned orbs.
Step 16: Shield blast the final orb in the middle of the area three times and interact with the machine’s chair with the Richthofen player, the Richtofen player will become Great War Richtofen in the lab and need to defeat the boss in the boss arena. A cutscene will then play, and you will have completed the Main Easter Egg on Blood of The Dead.
The Apothicon Warden Boss Fight involves players charging the Spectral Shield and killing zombie enemies until the Max Ammo and Carpenter perk spawns. Enter the red zone to avoid damage from these enemies to shoot the orbs above the warden. Then Spirit Blast the orb above the machine in the center of the area and repeat these two more times. The third time will need the player who is Richtofen, to power the machine by sitting in the chair and then watch the cutscene. You will now be Great War Richtofen and need to enter the boss fight area and kill the large Apothicon Warden.
