While you wait for the Game to Start, you can practice your aim on fellow players. Kills in lobby award XP and Weapon XP, so practice often. You will automatically redeploy if you are killed in the lobby. Get that XP or just relax and prepare for the real fight. Vondel offers 18 Operators for DMZ and 72 Operators for Resurgence game modes.
Vondel has a dedicated Gulag at mid-season launch, as the wine cellar and dungeon beneath the Castle have been cleared and there are way too many Operators thinking they can take that second chance for granted.
At its core, this Gulag is a three-lane map designed for 1v1 combat. The center features a circular structure with an opening facing the two main spawn points. This might feel familiar, and it should: It appears the architects responsible for Vondel’s Gulag took inspiration from a certain Prison Complex Showers….
Contracts are seen in many locations around Vondel, and completing them will grant you extra cash and some loot. All contracts are timed, so don’t waste them!
Bounty: Places a cash reward on a random player in the game and shows the approximate location of the player. As you get closer to the bounty, you will see the target location bar fill, and this also tells the enemy you are in range.
Most Wanted: A Bounty on your head for all enemy squads to see. Avoid enemy attacks and survive the contract duration to win cash and revive teammates. Taking out a Most Wanted player will give you the cash.
Safe Cracker: Search for three safes and crack them to receive the loot and cash hiding inside.
Signals Intelligence: Search for and hack three contract Phones.
Upload Intel: Take the drive to the upload tower location and upload intel to receives loot and cash.
Spend cash to purchase items at a limited quantity stock. Each Buy Station you visit around the map will include different items.
The buy stations now have Gear and Primary Weapons, a primary weapon will cost you $5,000. Other items range from $400 for Armor plates to $4,000 for a killstreak.
Other means of Transport can be found outside of just running or driving a vehicle, players will now find an autonomous Taxicab boat that will take them along the canals and also a city train car that will keep them on the streets when transporting them to other destinations.
Vehicles require gas and repair, Find gas stations scattered throughout Ashika Island. Boats also need repairs and fuel, find these locations around the waterside.
Land: ATV, UTV, Tactical Vehicle, Hatchback Car, Chop Top Off-Roader, SUV, Cargo Truck, Heavy Tank, Light Tank, and the APC
Air: Light Helicopter and a Heavy Chopper
Sea: RHIB Tactical Boats, the Armored Patrol Boat, and the PWC Sea-doo.
We all know the Redeploy balloons and drones but Vondel brings us Portable Redeploy Drone, Unlike the Personal Redeploy Drones in the past, the Portable Redeploy Drone can only be employed by a single Operator. Instead of using cables attached to a drone, an Operator hangs onto the drone itself in order to fly high into the air.
Because Vondel is built atop a network of canals and is technically below sea level, this location is subject to Fog during certain inclement weather conditions. Initial intel suggests that fog could be present during DMZ infiltrations, as well as on very rare instances in other game modes.
